Jumbangla Desk: On the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meeting, Chief Advisor of Bangladesh Professor Muhammad Yunus met Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday.

In the brief meeting, the two leaders discussed various aspects of strengthening Bangladesh-Canada relations, building various institutions and supporting the youth of Bangladesh.


Professor Yunus presented to the Prime Minister of Canada an art book 'The Art of Truism' of murals painted by students and youth during and after the revolution.

Trudeau praised Professor Yunus for taking over and assured Canada's support in building various institutions in Bangladesh.

 


Meanwhile, Dr. Yunus describes how the previous regime destroyed the country's institutions. The Chief Adviser appreciated Canada's friendship with Bangladesh and the Canadian government's support to the interim government. He requested Canada to grant more visas to Bangladeshi students.
