Manna is the star actor of Dhakai movie. This hero died of heart attack in 2008. Her last movie in action was 'Jiwan Tanaj' directed by Zahid Hossain, which is still awaiting release. Several times its release was planned, but it got pushed back. Its producer Khorshed Alam Khosru had announced the release of the movie on December 15 last year.

Manna's last movie

Manna-fans were happy to hear about the release of his movie after 16 years of his beloved hero's death. But as the movie did not release, the wait increased.

Khosru said, 'Jiwan Thanja' is a movie of liberation war. I would like to release it keeping in mind the special day of liberation war due to related reasons. If everything goes well, the intention is to release it by mid-December this year. There is still some work to be done; Which has to be done outside the country. I think I can do it before December.

'Jevan Tandh' received censor clearance in October 2021. Apart from directing the film, the story, dialogues and screenplay were written by Zahid Hossain.

When asked why the release of the movie was delayed, Zahid Hossain said, I started working on the movie with the name 'Leelamanthan'. I submitted to the censor in 2011 under that name. But the Censor Board's objection to the name delayed getting the censor. The movie could not be released due to various complications. Due to Corona, its release was delayed by two years. Earlier, movies were shot at Thirty Five – everyone knows that. 'Jiwan Tanja' was shot on Thirty Five. The negative of the film had to be taken to Bombay for transfer from Thirty Five to Telefilm. New color grading also needs to be done. This will take some time. The producer planned to release the movie last year. But because he could not go to India, the release of the movie got stuck. Maybe we can plan the release of the movie early next year.

At this time, the release of the movie 16 years ago will be at risk or not? In response to such a question, the producer said, "I don't think so, even at this time, the appeal of the star-studded movie will not decrease even a bit." This is a liberation war movie. Its time is up to 16 December. I don't think there will be any problem with the way I write the story. Hopefully it will still be a popular movie.

He also said, I made the movie with great care. Manna is the soul of this movie. I got his schedule for 10 days. He could not do the last scene. Farewell to the world before this. Later I did the scene of his martyrdom in a grenade attack using dummies. Manna is the hero of 12 stories of the movie. He will appear in a brand new look in the movie, which the audience will understand easily.

In 2006, the shooting of the movie based on the Liberation War called 'Leelamanthan' started. The shooting was completed in 2008 after taking about three years. Manna could not finish the last scene and dubbing of the movie. Later, actor Ratin did partial dubbing. After finalizing the rest of the movie and submitting it to the Censor Board in 2011, it got stuck because of the name. Although the name was not changed then, after 10 years, the movie got the censor clearance.

Incidentally, the situation of sex villages during the liberation war of 1971, the conflict between sex workers, who was for or against the liberation war at the time of independence - these issues have been highlighted in the movie 'Jiwan Tanaj'. Apart from Manna, Moushumi, Poppy, Misha Saudagar, Shahnoor, Mukti, Dighi, Bapparaj, Aliraj, Anwara, Shahidul Alam Sacchu and others acted in it.
