Jumbangla Desk: 3 people died due to lightning while bathing in the river in Thakurgaon. 9 more people were injured in this incident.

3 people died due to lightning

The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon in Bhulli river and Baliadangi upazila near Deuniya market of Prajeya union of Thakurgaon Sadar upazila.

According to local and police sources, Dulal Hossain's son Ariful Islam (15) and Nazrul Islam's son Monir (14) of Lauthuti village of Shukhanpukuri union were bathing in the Bhulli river near the house in the rain. When lightning struck there, they died on the spot.

On the other hand, Ataur Rahman (24), son of Mojibur Rahman of Kalibari village of Amjankhor union of Baliadangi upazila, was working in the field. He died on the spot when he was struck by lightning.

In this incident, 3 people were admitted to Thakurgaon General Hospital with 250 beds and 6 others were admitted to Baliadangi Upazila Health Complex.

The injured are Farooq Hossain (18), son of Hafizul of Gopalpur village of Prajea union, Fazila Begum (35), wife of Barkat Ali, Farid (15), son of Yusuf Ali, 8-year-old child Ruman of Amjankhor union of Baliadangi upazila, 12-year-old Kishore Rana, 11 years old. aged child Sakibul, 7-year-old child Faisal of Fultala village, Manjura Begum wife of Ashraful Islam of Udaipur village.

The families of the victims and the area are in mourning.
