On Tuesday (September 24) afternoon, he made a press conference at his business company Deen Furniture in Keraniganj's Kadmatoli area. Present at this time were Jamal Nasser Chowdhury, the general secretary of the Dhaka-based organization, Samsul Haque's younger brother Rafiqul Haque, two sons Mirazul Haque and Sajidul Haque.
In a written speech at the press conference, Samsul Haque said that in 2005, we purchased 17 and a half percent of land in Kadmatoli area. For a long time, the dictatorial government did not allow the people to occupy that land. Recently, Bahar and his cousin Miraj prevented us from building a structure on that land by defaming the name of BNP. At one stage they demanded a contribution of 20 lakh taka. A group of men led by Bahar attacked and vandalized my business for refusing to pay the dues. By beating the son, Sajidul cracked Haque's head. We are appalled by their continued threat.
Regarding the complaint, BNP leader Bahar said that the complaint of demand for subscription is false. In the land in question we will get land through ancestral and purchasable formula. We stop them from doing construction work without informing us. Enraged by this, Samsul Haque's people attacked and injured me and my relatives.
It is known that both parties have filed a written complaint in the police station. Mazharul Islam, OC of Dakshin Keraniganj police station, said that both parties have complained to the police station. Legal action will be taken after investigation.
