Murder case in the name of 39 people including former state minister Rimi

Jumbangla Desk: A murder case has been registered in Gazipur court against 39 people including former parliamentarian and former state minister Simin Hossain Rimi, Gazipur district jail superintendent and two former OCs of Kapasia police station, an investigation officer and a police sub-inspector in Kapasia, Gazipur.
Former State Minister Simin Hossain Rimi
Sohel Rana of Doypakuri village of Raonat area of Durgapur union of Kapasia upazila filed the case as a plaintiff in the Senior Judicial Magistrate Court of Gazipur on Monday (September 23).
The plaintiff in the case, Sohel Rana, is the son of the deceased Safiuddin Master. This case was filed against his father without any reason and the district police accused him of murder.
In the case, the former Member of Parliament State Minister Simin Hossain Rimi, the former OC of Kapasia police station. Abubakar Mia, Former Inspector (Investigation) Abul Kashem, Former OC AFM Nasim, Former Deputy Inspector (SI) Shamsul Haque Sumon, Gazipur District Jail Superintendent Anwarul Karim, Kapasia Upazila Awami League President Mazharul Islam Salim, General Secretary Mizanur Rahman, Chief, Kapasia Upazila Parishad Former chairman Amanat Hossain Khan, senior vice-president of district Awami League. Rezaul Rahman Lashkar Mithu, Former Vice Chairman Asaduzzaman, Upazila Awami League Joint Secretary Leader Mahbub Uddin Ahmed Salim, Publicity Secretary Imanullah Sheikh Imu, Upazila Jubo League President Sakhawat Hossain Pradhan, General Secretary Rajiv Ghosh, Upazila Chhatra League President Mahmudul Hasan Mamun, General Secretary Amir Hamza. 39 people including former chairman of Durgapur Union Parishad Abdul Ghaffar have been made accused.
According to the source of the case, on October 26 of last year, Safiuddin Master of Doypakuri village of Raonat area was taken away from his house without a warrant by Kapasia police station. The accused took Safiuddin Master in front of the police station and beat him while he was handcuffed. Later he was kept in police custody without any treatment. The next day, on October 27, an unidentified accused was sent to jail in a case of Kapasia police station. Later he was beaten in jail. After that, on December 25 last year, Safiuddin Master died in prison.
Advocate Lutfar Rahman, the plaintiff side of this case, said that the case was appealed to the Gazipur Senior Judicial Magistrate Court. The concerned police station has been asked to investigate and submit a report within the next one month.
Initiatives taken by the government to increase remittances
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kapasia police station. Kamal Hossain said, I have not received any such letter or investigation order from the court. Necessary action will be taken accordingly if the court order is received.
