Berobi Representative, Rangpur: Vice-Chancellor of Begum Rokeya University. Md. Shawkat Ali said that the university administration will ensure that everything is done for a fair environment for the students of the residential hall. For this, the advice and overall cooperation of the students is required.

He said these things to the students on Wednesday (September 25, 2024) after visiting the halls of residence. He was accompanied by Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md. Majid Ali, Proctor of the University. Md. Ferdous Rahman, Director of Student Counseling and Guidance Department. Md. Ilyach Pramanik, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall Provost Md. Amir Sharif, Shaheed Mukhtar Elahi Hall Provost Professor Dr. Md. Kamruzzaman, Provost of Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall. Deleted: Assistant Provosts including Sifat Rumana.

 

During the visit, the Vice-Chancellor visited the halls of residence and interacted with the students. The Vice-Chancellor said that everything needed for the residential hall has been identified. Reading room, newspaper room, TV room, photostat machine, laundry, salon, eatery etc. will be provided for the students in the hall. No common room shall be maintained if residential.


The vice-chancellor also said that the condition of the university's residential halls was bad. Damaged halls were repaired in quick time. Begum Rokeya University as a school will work to ensure that students get a beautiful environment.

He said that the investigation committee formed in the incident of killing of student Abu Saeed has started working. Appropriate action will be taken if the investigation report is received within 7 working days. The Vice-Chancellor urged everyone to be aware that the freedom that has come through the students' movement should not be lost. Apart from this, an exchange meeting will be organized with the students to know their position regarding the student politics in the campus. Action will be taken based on their opinion.
