Jumbangla Desk: A case has been filed in the Dhaka court against five people including Shaikh Siraj, the news chief of Channel Eye. Presenter Farzana Brownia filed a case in the court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Hasibul Haque on Wednesday.

At that time, the court recorded the statement of the plaintiff and directed the CID to investigate the complaint and submit a report.
The other accused in the case are Zahir Uddin Mahmud Mamun, Mukit Majumdar Babu, Abdur Rashid Majumdar Parvez and Riaz Ahmed Khan. All of them are said to be involved in Awami League politics.
According to sources in the case, during the quota reform movement in 2018, the channel aired Swarna Kishori without any notice. Along with that, the salary of the presenter of the program was also stopped.
When plaintiff Farzana reported the matter to Channel I several times, she was told that her dues would be paid. Later, when some of the plaintiffs asked for the due money, they blocked the road and demanded payment and threatened to kill them.
