Jumbangla Desk: The Border Guard Force BGB arrested a BSF jawan named Upal Kumar Das from Dinajpur's rare border on Tuesday for trespassing. He was released again after 6 hours of detention.

Dinajpur BGB Sector Commander Colonel Md. Ariful Islam said that around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, a BSF member mistakenly crossed the Zero Line and entered the border of Bangladesh to drive away cows and goats. At that time he was arrested.

The Indian Border Guard had instead protested to the BGB for the jawan detained for trespassing. However, the BGB has not responded to this protest till Wednesday night, according to the Indian media The Hindu.

A BSF officer told the media that after the fall of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, various incidents have taken place on the Bangladesh border. This is one of them.

The Hindu reported that the BGB and BSF held more than 700 meetings along the border till September 25 after Hasina fled to India.
