Entertainment Desk: Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee blamed the Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) for the floods in several districts of West Bengal, India. Trinamool Member of Parliament (MP) elected from Hooghly and Tollywood actress Rachna Banerjee made the same claim agreeing with his opinion.

However, the actress got into trouble by mistaking the unit of measurement of the water that DVC is releasing. For this reason, a leader of the opposition party BJP has suggested that he should be kept in a museum.

Anandabazar says that Rachna Banerjee visited different areas of Hooghly flood-hit Balagarh on Wednesday. He visited areas affected by erosion and floods including Chandra, Milnagar, Charkhairamari.

Meanwhile, Rachna said that the central government did not help in making the Ghatal master plan of West Medinipur. Mamata Banerjee is doing that work with initiative. It will be seen whether any plan can be made to control erosion in Balagarh.

Then Trinamool MP blamed DVC for the flood situation. He said, 'Quintal quintal of water is coming out. People's houses have nothing! Everyone is out on the streets. And they (DVC) are saying, they sent it!'

Regarding the measurement of water as 'quintal' instead of 'cusec', Hooghly District BJP General Secretary Suresh Sau said, 'The Chief Minister should keep the Hooghly MP in a museum. The central government is releasing quintal quintal water! Since when was the water measured in quintals? He doesn't have the least knowledge. So you are wrong. Ordinary people have sorrow on their foreheads.

Earlier, during the election campaign, Rachna was subjected to sarcasm by explaining why curd made from Singur cow's milk is better. Seeing the smoke of the coal chimney, he asked again, didn't industrialization happen in Hooghly? Many memes spread on social media about this. But Rachna said, Mim likes him.
