Jumbangla Desk: Highlighting the importance of free expression of the students' public, Hasnat Abdullah, the coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, called for strong dissent. He said, 'We have to agree with us, we don't want it. We want the dissent to continue. Only through disagreement can we reach a solution. otherwise not possible.'

This student of Dhaka University said this in an exchange meeting with students at Chittagong University on Sunday afternoon. The meeting was held with the university students about the state reform after the student uprising.

This event was organized in the auditorium of Faculty of Sociology under the banner of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, University of Chittagong.

Responding to a student's question regarding the formation of a political party, coordinator Hasnat Abdullah said, 'We are not saying whether we will form a political party now or not. But if we form, then how will our political ideology? We have to think about this ideology. Or an administrative fascist structure will be created.'

'Now the question has come, will you base the political settlement on twenty-four or seventy-one? Because, if it is based on 1971, then it was based on Awami Bayan. It has been distorted. Liberation War was only Awami League? You look at the constitution, the constitution was written based on the election of 70. And Awami League was the representative of seventy. So whose constitution? Has the constitution been universal?' Hasnat Abdullah asked the question .

This coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement said, 'There can be many discussions about them. There may be controversy. You have to decide, you have to think. Will you maintain the legacy of the Seventy-one, will you maintain the legacy of the People's Council of the Seventy or not? Or do you want to establish the paradigm shift that has happened in twenty-four?

At that time Hasnat Abdullah said about the campus politics, 'The politics that has been practiced in the campus till now was lazy. But we want politics that will benefit students, society and people of the country. Without student politics, we will not be able to claim our rights.'

At that time, Central Coordinator Mohammad Russell Ahmed, Co-Coordinator Khan Talat Mahmud, Coordinator of Chittagong University Mahfuzur Rahman etc. were present.

Meanwhile, during the meeting of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement with the students, there was a clash and commotion between the two sides of the students. According to the statement of the students, this incident happened around two o'clock in the afternoon.

The students asked various questions to the coordinators, including giving committees in Chittagong on August 5 and not running the activities of the university after the fall of the government.

At that time, a student named Shakhawat Hossain of the Islamic Studies Department said, 'Our coordinator brothers were the place of our trust and confidence. Those who want to come up with the name of the movement today were Sheikh Hasina's friends in the past. They were friends of terror.' A number of students became furious after Shakhawat's statement.

At that time, Zamir Uddin, a post graduate of the English department, Jaglul Ahmed, a post graduate of the physics department, Mohammad Rafsan, a fourth year student, and Alim Khan, a third year student, questioned whether this committee is necessary or not considering the activities of the coordinators and the current time. At one point there was a commotion and a fight.

However, after a while, the situation came under control at the request of coordinator Hasnat Abdullah.
