Own Correspondent, Gazipur: The police recovered the body of child Abdur Rahman Mucha (11) from a house in Diabari area of Turag police station of the capital. His body was found around 1pm on Wednesday (September 25) after being missing for the past four days. The police have arrested the father on the charge of killing his son .
Son strangled to death in Tongi, father arrested
Mucha is the son of Mohiuddin of Dattapara Duati village of Shibchar police station in Madaripur district. He lived in a rented house with his mother in Gopalpur area of Tongir. Mucha is a second class student of Holy Crescent High School in the area.
According to the family, Mohiuddin and Sharifun Neshar got married in a family way about sixteen years ago. Later a son was born to them. Family tension forced Mohiuddin to go abroad. After about nine years, Mohiuddin returned home and concealed the information of his first marriage and child and married Sumna Akhtar of Baunkanda village of Banga thana of Faridpur district. After a few months, the information of the second wife Sumna Mohiuddin's first wife and child came to be known. They got into a fight.
On September 1, Mohiuddin started living again in Gopalpur area of Tongir with his first wife Sharifun Necha and son Mucha. Meanwhile, father Mohiuddin left the house last Saturday afternoon with his son Mucha for a walk. After a while, the child was taken to a house in Turag area of the capital. Later, he killed him there by strangling him and leaving the body inside the forest, he came home. Returning home informs everyone that the wipe is missing. At one stage, Mohiuddin moved to that house.
Mucha's mother filed a general diary (GD) at Tongi East police station last Saturday to find her son. Since then the police started searching for the child. Police arrested father Mohiuddin from Faridpur on Tuesday night. Later, during the preliminary interrogation of the police, the boy was strangled and then thrown into the forest. Five days after the incident, according to the information given by Mohiuddin, the police recovered Mucha's body from a forest in the capital Turag and brought it to the police station.
Mucha's mother Sharifun Necha said, 'Since marriage, we have been quarreling with my husband. My husband went to Saudi Arabia. He came back and got married for the second time. I was living in Tongi with my son. I also work in a garment factory. He went for a walk with his son last Saturday. When he came back, he said that the wipe was missing. Later he went to Faridpur at night without looking for his son. After filing a general diary at the police station, the police arrested my husband from Faridpur. I filed a case at the police station on Wednesday.
Deputy Inspector (SI) of Tongi Police Station Arif Hossain said that the body was recovered and sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital morgue in Gazipur for post-mortem.
Tongi East police station-in-charge (OC) SM Mamunur Rashid said that a murder case has been registered in this incident. Mohiuddin will be sent to court tomorrow Thursday.
