He said these things during the chief guest's speech during an exchange of views with officials during the visit to the Directorate of Agricultural Extension at Farmgate in the capital on Wednesday (September 25) afternoon.

Meanwhile, the secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture. Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mian, Additional Secretary Dr. Malay Chowdhury and director general of the Directorate of Agricultural Extension (ongoing duty). Tajul Islam Patwari was present.

During the discussion, advisory on supply of fertilizers and seeds, bringing fallow land under cultivation, diversification of crops, increasing cultivation of fruits and increasing export of seasonal fruits, reduction of use of urea fertilizers, cultivation of crops suitable for post-flood land, irrigation of dry areas to make the agriculture sector more efficient and farmer-friendly. He sheds light on what is happening and is aware of these issues.


The advisor said that the Ministry of Agriculture has taken necessary steps to ensure that there is no shortage of fertilizers. The officials working at the field level will inform the farmers about this so that they do not panic.

The advisor directed the concerned to work to bring uncultivated land under cultivation to meet the food demand of the growing population of the country. Mentioning the success of the agricultural sector in the country's food security, the advisor instructed everyone to continue to do so.

The advisor said that the main achievement of the progress of the agricultural sector is the farmers. Farmers suffer by producing, they don't get fair price. This should be taken care of. Regarding corruption, the advisor said, the ministry is in a strict position to prevent corruption in the agricultural sector. Necessary steps have been taken in this regard.

Later the advisor visited the various wings of the Department of Agricultural Extension.
