Jumbangla Desk: The Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has said that three-wheeled mechanical and non-mechanical vehicles are prohibited on all national highways under the road safety regulations.

Three wheeler mechanized and non mechanized vehicles

The organization says that these vehicles are being observed on the national highway in violation of the law. It is causing adverse reactions in the public mind including increase in road accidents.

Such information was informed in a special notification of BRTA on Wednesday.

According to the notification, in such a situation, the movement of three-wheelers, auto-rickshaws/autotempo and non-mechanized vehicles will be prohibited on all highways of the country as per the road safety provisions.

Apart from this, where there are no CNG filling stations, three-wheelers, autorickshaws/autotempos plying in those areas without passengers can collect fuel from CNG filling stations located on the side of the nearest highway from 6 am to 8 am.

However, appropriate legal action will be taken if these vehicles run on the highway in violation of the law
