Jumbangla Desk: In Gazipur, there has been a chase between the Jubo Dal and the Farmers Dal, blocking the highway and vandalism. There have also been reports of threats to kill a journalist by sticking a pistol in his chest when he tried to record a video of an armed exercise between the two sides. At one point, the journalist's camera was taken away and the video was deleted. The incident took place on the highway in front of the SQ Celsius Limited factory located in Beraiderchala area near Mauna intersection of Sreepur municipality of Gazipur at around 11 o'clock yesterday on Wednesday.

The police and locals said that the owner of the factory gave the fake business to SM Palash Chanchal, a member of the convening committee of Gazipur District Jubo Dal. After receiving the work order, Palash prepared to launch the business under the banner of 'Chanchal Enterprise'. On hearing this news, the workers-supporters of District Farmers' Party convener Abul Kalam took a stand in front of the factory. Two hundred pro-activists held heavy trucks and held a drill with weapons. Everyone had sticks and firearms. At that time they fired blank shots. Traffic came to a standstill on the busiest Dhaka-Mymensingh highway. Common people started running away in fear. Later the people of Yuva Dal leader Palash also came forward with sathisota and native weapons. The two sides chased each other for about an hour. Several vehicles were also vandalized on the highway.

Jubo Dal leader Palash Chanchal said, "Krishak Dal leader Abul Kalam's men blocked my Jhoot's car by creating panic with armed drills. Beating my people. At least 20 people were injured. My office was also ransacked, they broke several motorcycles.'

After getting the news, Jamuna TV's Gazipur correspondent Hossain Babu went to the spot and started recording the video of the chase and armed exercise on both sides. At this time he was assaulted. Journalist Hossain Babu said, 'Kirshak Dal's Kalam people called me and held a pistol to my chest and took away my mobile phone. Later, he deleted all the videos from the mobile phone and threatened to kill him. In the second phase, they attacked and assaulted again.'

In this regard, the convener of the district farmers' party, SM Abul Kalam, told reporters on mobile phone, "I have been staying in Dhaka since morning." Nothing is known about this. I heard that there is trouble with Jhoot. One party is using my name there. None of my supporters went there.'
