Former DC Mashiur remanded for 7 days

Jumbangla Desk: The court has granted a seven-day remand to Moshiur Rahman, the former Deputy Commissioner of Police of Lalbagh Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police in the case of the death of a teenager named Abdul Motalib in Dhanmondi's Jigatla during the anti-discrimination movement.
On Thursday (September 26), the investigation officer of the case Ramna Zonal Team Inspector Nazrul Islam brought the accused to the court and applied for a ten-day remand.
After the hearing, the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Farzana Shakila Sumu Chowdhury granted this remand.
The lawyer of the accused requested to cancel the remand and the judge rejected it.
The detective police arrested Moshiur Rahman from the capital on the night of September 19. He was remanded for seven days in the case of the murder of businessman Abdul Wadud in Newmarket police station area on September 20.
On August 4, a youth named Abdul Motalib was shot and killed while marching in Jigatla bus stand area during the anti-discrimination student movement.
On August 26, his father Abdul Matin filed a murder case at Dhanmondi Police Station as the plaintiff.
