The incident took place in Ekdala Narayanpara area of ​​Tebaria Union of Sadar Upazila on Wednesday (September 25) afternoon.

The injured agricultural officer is currently undergoing treatment at Natore Sadar Hospital. When asked about the incident, he said that government incentives are available for farmers at various times. We give them to the farmers periodically. As part of a regular visit, on Wednesday, Ekdala visited a farmer's field in Narayanpara to see his crops. While there another farmer named Milan came to me and wanted to know why he was not given incentives this year. I explained to him that there is a fixed number of incentives, so they have to be given to all the farmers in phases. It has been given before, it will be given again.

Israt Jahan Imon said that the farmer was already angry about not getting the incentive. At one stage of the argument, the farmer got angry and hit me on the head with the rod in his hand. Then the locals rescued me and took me to the hospital.

When contacted in this regard, Deputy Director of Agriculture Extension Directorate, Natore. Abdul Wadud said, the incident is very sad. Such attacks cannot be accepted in any way. Currently, the injured female officer is undergoing treatment at the hospital. The upazila office is keeping track of him all the time. All legal assistance will be given to him in this regard.

Natore Sadar Police Station OC (Investigation) Shafiqul Islam said that he has not received any written complaint in this incident so far. Legal action will be taken if written complaint is received.
