Jumbangla Desk: District Consumer Rights Protection Directorate has conducted an operation to catch hilsa fish in Faridpur. At that time, one person was fined Tk 20,000.

The operation was conducted at Haji Shariatullah Bazar in Faridpur city from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday (September 26).
At that time, a shop called Das Bhandar was fined Tk 20,000 for keeping the price of hilsa high, not having purchase vouchers, and not selling the promised products properly. In addition, several wholesale and retail stores of hilsa fish are monitored and warned.
Confirming the campaign, Assistant Director of District Consumer Rights Protection Department Sohail Sheikh said, such campaign will continue to keep the price of hilsa at a bearable level and to stop manipulation of hilsa.
