Jumbangla Desk: Sheikh Ahmadullah, a popular Islamic commentator and chairman of As-Sunnah Foundation, has commented that performing Hajj with government money is a luxury.
He made this comment in a post on his Facebook page on Monday (September 23).
In the post, he said, Hajj with government money is a kind of luxury. Every year many ruling politicians and government favorites go for Hajj with state money. It is not perfect from any Shariah and moral point of view.
He said, on the one hand, as the money of the country is misused, the Hajj office has to pay extra attention and be busy after these people. As a result, ordinary visitors are deprived of their proper services and rights.
Sheikh Ahmadullah said, government money means people's money. People do not give money to anyone for Hajj. An influential person performing Hajj with people's money, there is no glory in it. There is a hidden insult. Therefore, this practice should be stopped forever. But yes, government appointed doctors, Hajj guides and other Hajj officials are different.
