School admission policies may be amended

Jumbangla Desk: There may be new policies regarding the admission of students in different schools of the country. In this case, various issues related to student admission and age in the lottery are being discussed. On Wednesday (September 25), a notice signed by Syed A Z Morshed Ali, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Secondary and Higher Education, informed about the meeting on Thursday (September 26).

School

According to the notice, a meeting will be held in the conference room of the secondary and higher education department of the Ministry of Education at 3:30 pm on September 26 to revise the policy of admission of students in private secondary schools. All (members) are requested to attend on time.

It will be presided over by Sheikh Abdur Rashid, senior secretary of the ministry's secondary and higher education department. 15 members including the principals of some famous institutions of the capital including Maushi will participate in the meeting.

The members of the meeting are - Director General of Maushi, Additional Secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Department, Representative of Dhaka Divisional Commissioner, One of the Joint-Secretaries of Maushi, Deputy Secretary/Senior Assistant Secretary, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka, Director of College and Administration Department of Maushi, Director of Secondary Division, Deputy Director, Dhaka Region Deputy Director, Dhaka District Education Officer.

Among the heads of educational institutions, the principal of Dhaka Residential Model College, the principal of Vikarunnisa Noon School and College, the principal of Manipur High School and College and the principal of St. Gregory's High School and College are said to be present.
