Abu Saeed, Berobi Correspondent: A gift bus (Rangpur-B-05-0016) used for the students of transport pool of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur has suddenly disappeared from the transport pool. At present no one can tell the exact information about the whereabouts of the bus.

A letter sent to AKM Chayadat Hossain Bakul bearing the signature of the registrar of the university (Engineer Mohammad Alamgir Chowdhury) bearing Berobi/Reg/2024/81 was asked to take back the bus. But the Berobi administration said that they had handed over the bus but could not show any document of the handover. But later when asked for the handover or after the news was published in different places, a letter dated 24-05-2024 showing a signature dated 15th September of handing over the bus was discovered. There is a complaint. The pre-signed paper has been hurriedly arranged after news about the bus in various places. However, it has not been possible to verify whether the signatory is the same person or not. Because, there is no match between the signature of the application form and the transfer letter. Now, due to the mismatch between the signatures of the bus acceptance and handover, various questions are swirling in the minds of the public. Again, AKM Chayadat Hossain Bakul has been contacted numerous times through phone calls, but every time it is blocked. As a result, the gang involved has become desperate to cover up the issue of the bus' disappearance.

However, it was alleged that the bus was taken out of the campus without informing anyone or issuing any handover letter. The university administration could not give the correct answer as to who or who made it out. Even many drivers and helpers in the transport pool cannot tell when they have been taken. When asked, the transport pool and registrar's office said that the bus has been returned but no transfer documents have been accepted.

It is known that on March 12, 2012, nuclear scientist Dr. AKM Chayadat Hossain as chairman of Wazed Foundation presented a 52-seat bus as a gift for the students of Bakul University. Former Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Chairman of Wazed Foundation Chayadat Hossain Bakul officially handed over the keys of the bus to Mu Abdul Jalil Mia. At that time, the photo and press release of the bus gifting was also promoted by the Public Relations Department.

But on October 23, 2014, Advocate Rich Uddin Badsha sent a legal notice on behalf of the Chairman of Wazed Foundation asking for the return of the bus. It said that the bus was given to the university at a monthly rent of Tk 30,000 and they also received three months' rent. But the then VC Professor Dr. AKM Noor-un-Nabi did not find any such agreement or proof of payment of rent in the accounts office. Rather, he confirmed the matter by publishing pictures of the handover of the keys and news of the gift giving in several national and local newspapers.

Once again on 30th April 2024, Chayadat Hossain Bakul wrote a letter asking for the return of the bus, the recently resigned VC Professor Dr. Hasibur Rashid allowed the return of the gift bus and asked the registrar to take back the vehicle through a letter from the registrar.

Serious allegations have been made that two officials and a driver conspired to return the gift car. Although the bus was taken from the transport pool, the university administration could not show any proof that it was taken by AKM Chayadat Hossain Bakul. No one knows where the car is now.

According to multiple reliable sources, an officer of the university's vice-chancellor's office, an officer of the transport pool and a driver are closely involved in the incident. They forced the Vice-Chancellor to return the bus through Chayadat Hossain Bakul and sold the bus and divided the money among themselves.

Engineer Mohammad Alamgir Chowdhury, registrar of the university said, "Former Vice-Chancellor Dr. Dr. The car was ordered to be returned with the written permission of Hasibur Rashid. The transport pool can tell who is receiving the car." But the former director of the transport pool. Md. Kamruzzaman says different things. He said what can I pay? I can neither buy nor pay for the car.

Tapas Kumar Gbosamy, additional registrar of the transport department said, "Actually, the bus has been returned but we have not received any handover documents. "

An employee of Paribahan Pool, on condition of anonymity, said, "As far as I know, the bus has not been returned to Bakul Bhai. The car was sold at a garage in Rangpur." And each part of it is sold separately.

But I don't know which garage sold it. The issue of selling this car was here as driver 'Arif Media.

When the driver Arif was asked about this, he said, Yes, Bakul bhai told me to sell the car. We sold the car for 3 lakh 80 thousand taka. From here I was supposed to pay 10 thousand taka. That money has not been given to me yet. When the car crossed the university gate I couldn't trace which way the car went.

But when asked how many people sold the bus and to whom, he said, I will not say anything about it. Let my job go.

On the condition of anonymity, another Paribahanpul official said that former VC's PA Abul Kalam Azad submitted this letter of bus transfer. He also said that this official has given some money to the owner of the bus in the name of handing over the bus to the former VC and embezzled the rest of the money.

Md Sarfaraz Alam, Deputy Assistant Engineer (Auto Mobile) of Paribahan Pool said, "I was responsible for handing over the bus. I don't know who took the bus on the day I was on vacation. Many people from above keep pressing to find out about this. Later, after reporting about this, the PA to VC (Assistant Security Officer) of the Vice-Chancellor's office, Md. Abul Kalam Azad, submitted the handover letter to me on 15th September.

After Md. Sarfaraz Alam's words, VC's PA Abul Kalam Azad said, "Why should I submit the transfer letter?" Who am I submitting to? Those who were responsible submitted it is their business. "

Engineer Mohammad Alamgir Chowdhury said, "I don't want to say anything about this."
