to Shakib

The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association has planned a special reception to mark the last Test match of Shakib's career outside the country. After Shakib's announcement yesterday, the general secretary of the organization, Arvind Kumar Srivastava, informed the journalists of Bangladesh about this decision.

Arvind Kumar said, 'I will talk to everyone about this issue. We will definitely try to give him a good send off in Kanpur. We will see how we have given such a farewell reception before. We will take a decision after seeing them, how to do it.'

Arvind feels that they will feel honored if they can give a reception to a big cricketer like Shakib. He said, 'He is a very big cricketer, very popular. We are very happy that the Bangladesh team has come to play here for the first time. Shakib Al Hasan is also here. It is actually a matter of honor for us too.'
