Another accused in Lt. Tanzim murder case arrested

Jumbangla Desk: The accused in the case of private murder of martyred Lt. Tanzim Charoar in Chakaria, Cox's Bazar. Sadek (41) was arrested by joint forces.

On Friday (September 27) the matter was confirmed by Lt. Col. Munim Ferdous, Director of Legal and Media Wing of RAB Headquarters.

He said that the RAB started an operation to arrest the killers along with the shadow investigation after the solitary killing of army officer Lieutenant Tanzim Charoar. Regarding the incident, the army filed a case with the Chakaria police station.

He also said that in the continuation of this, the joint forces under the leadership of an expeditionary team of RAB-15 Sadar Battalion conducted an operation in Phansiakhali of Chakaria police station. Sadek was able to be arrested. He was arrested at 2.30 pm on Thursday (September 26). He was handed over to Chakaria police station.

Earlier on September 25, Bangladesh Army conducted a combing operation in Cox's Bazar and arrested six people involved in the incident. They are Babul Prakash (44), Helal Uddin (34), Anwar Hakim (28), Arif Ullah (25), Ziabul Karim (45) and Hossain (39).

It is known that among them, the second in command of the robbers Helal Uddin, driver Anwar Hakim, armed member Arif Ullah and informants Ziabul Karim and Hossain have admitted their direct involvement in the incident.

Army Lieutenant Tanzim Charwar was martyred on September 24 at 3 am during an anti-robbery operation based on intelligence in Chakria of Coxbazar.
