Jumbangla Desk: Joint General Secretary of Awami League Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif said that Awami League will turn around again like in the past and participate in the next parliamentary elections. There will be no election in Bangladesh except Awami League.

Hanif

Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif's press secretary Moha on Thursday. This information was informed in a statement sent by Tariq-ul-Islam Tutul.

In the statement, Hanif said, 'Awami League leaders and workers are somewhat embarrassed in the current context. But it should also be kept in mind that in 1975 when there was a conspiracy to wipe out the Awami League by killing the father of the nation and his family, such a shock came. That Awami League turned around. Therefore, in this incident, there is no reason to think that this Awami League will not be able to turn around. Awami League will turn around again like in the past and participate in the next parliamentary elections. Apart from Awami League, there will be no election in Bangladesh.

On August 5, Sheikh Hasina's government collapsed in the face of intense mass movement by students. Sheikh Hasina is currently staying in India. After the ouster of the government, most of the Awami League leaders and activists are in hiding. Numerous cases have been filed against them across the country. Many former government ministers, state ministers and members of parliament have also been arrested. Hundreds of cases of murder and disappearance have been filed against Sheikh Hasina in various courts of the country, including the International Criminal Tribunal.

In the statement, he further said, 'Recently, the statement of Badiul Alam Majumder, the head of Bangladesh Electoral System Reform Commission, 'the next national election will be acceptable without Awami League' and the blueprint that is being made to keep Awami League away from politics for 10 years has come to our attention. I strongly condemn and protest the baseless efforts of the interim government of Bangladesh to keep traditional old and large political parties like Awami League away from elections and politics and I call on all concerned to stay away from such mischief.'

Badiul Alam Majumder as the head of Election Commission reform has said absolutely unacceptable things. On the one hand, he is talking about democracy, and on the other hand, traditional large, powerful political parties like Awami League; The party under the leadership of which the country became independent. All the development, progress and dignity of the country is in the hands of the party, he said about the election by keeping that party out of the election. That is unacceptable and unreasonable. There has never been any election in Bangladesh without Awami League in the past, and there is no possibility of it happening in the future. Awami League has participated in every election since Ayub Khan's regime and represented the people. Awami League is the party of soil and people of this country. The roots of Awami League are very deep in the soil of this Bengal.
