Father's death at his son's wedding ceremony in Netrakona

Jumba Bangla Desk: Bishwanath Kha (65) died due to electrocution while fetching firewood for his son's marriage ceremony at Kendua in Netrakona.
The incident took place in Kumaura village of Balaishimul union of the upazila on Saturday afternoon.
Bishwanath Kha is a resident of Kumaura village of Balaishimul union of that upazila.
According to police and local sources, Biswanath Kha married his son Rahmat Ullah last Friday and brought his new wife home. Saturday was the son's marriage ceremony. Hundreds of people were having dinner.
Cooking was going on since morning. Biswanath Kha got electrocuted while going to the cowshed to fetch firewood for cooking at noon and was seriously injured. The family members rescued him and took him to Kendua Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Resident of Kumaura village and former chairman of Balaishimul Union Parishad, Ali Akbar Talukdar Mallik said that Vishwanath Kha converted to Islam when he was a teenager. Later married in a Muslim family and established a married life.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kendua police station Mizanur Rahman said that a case of wrongful death has been registered in the police station.
