We are already looking into the matter strictly.

Stating that the number of policemen is more than journalists in the case, he said, "The number of policemen in the cases that are taking place is much more than the number of journalists." BGB, DC and Divisional Commissioners have been accused in many cases. We have asked the police to check before registering a case in the police station. The plaintiffs are a part of our society. If those who were involved in the incident are accused, the cases become true. The basis of the case is strengthened. Investigating the case is also easier.

The law does not say that only if there is a case, someone will be arrested as an accused. We will analyze the cases in which there are journalists, policemen and other dignitaries of the society. There has also been a committee on this. That committee is working on it. If you are innocent, you have no reason to be afraid. There is no reason to be afraid.'

Stating that the activities of all police units have started, this police officer said, 'Many people gave their lives in the mass uprising of anti-discrimination students. 44 members of our police were martyred there. About 2,500 people were injured. After I assumed charge, I tried to activate all the police units and restore the working environment to the demoralized members in various ways. "The sacrifices of the policemen who are no longer with us will be duly repaid through our work. If we can work properly then the distance that has been created between the police and the people will no longer exist.'


Stating that every murder committed in the anti-discrimination movement will be tried, Moinul Islam said, 'Every death in the movement of students will be investigated and tried. A UN team is working on it. They are going to different places. The government is very sincere to conduct proper investigation and justice in every incident.'

Stating that all activities that destroy the communal harmony of Bangladesh will be stopped, he further said, 'There are some small groups who are working against it to destroy the communal harmony. Any kind of incident that destroys communal harmony will not happen in this country. This country belongs to all people, all Bengalis. This country belongs to Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, Christians. Citizens of this country have equal rights in every respect. It is recognized by the Constitution. We want to stop all activities that destroy communal harmony with the legal framework.

"In the last 15 years many people have been given arms licenses who are not eligible to own arms. He canceled the license and asked the government to surrender the weapons. Those who did not submit the weapons became illegal from September 4. So far we have recovered 238 weapons. 75 percent of the weapons looted by the police have been recovered. Those who keep or buy illegal weapons will be brought under the law.

In response to a journalist's question about police reform, Moinul Islam said, 'We are working on the 11 points that came from the members who work at the field level of the police. Police reforms are being discussed. Reform is a process. It will take time. The dress and working hours have come up. Many things need to be reformed together. Police is the trust of the people. The police cannot act without the consent of the people. We are also pouring training.'
