On Saturday (September 28) evening, the picture went viral on social media Facebook. After that, people from different professions of the city made various comments about the film.

A content creator named Junayed Islam scoffed and wrote on Facebook, 'Do Patuakhali residents want to know if this is the residence of a comrade of the anti-apartheid movement?'

A journalist named Maksudur Rahman writes, 'Will the nation accept my crime without telling that such a famous person lives in our area?'

After investigation, it is known that a person named Elias Hossain, a resident of Kazipara area of Patuakhali, has put the signboard on the gate in front of his house. His daughter Nusrat Jahan Swapna participated in the anti-discrimination student movement from Patuakhali and the movement demanding the resignation of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on August 3, 4 and 5. Nusrat Jahan Swapna is a 2nd year student of Higher Secondary (Science Department) Patuakhali Women's College. He hung the signboard in front of the gate of the house about a month ago because of his association with the girl's movement.

On Saturday night, Ilyas Hossain's house (holding no-08004-0097-00) was seen in front of Patuakhali Eye Hospital in Kazipara area of the city. A signboard on the gate in front of the house reads, 'Resident of one of the comrades of the anti-apartheid movement-2024.' Below is the address written Kazi Para, Patuakhali.

Ilyas Hossain's wife Farida Yasmin said, 'My husband and daughter were participating in the movement. He didn't put up this sign to get anything. I was already persuading him not to put up such signboards, which would make people laugh. But he does this from the place he likes.'

Ilyas Hossain said, 'My daughter and I were associated with the anti-discrimination movement. After the success of the movement, I hung the signboard in front of the house out of pleasure. It has been suspended since August 5. Today I see the picture has gone viral.' Source: Dhaka Post
