International Desk: The supreme religious leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khomeini, has called for a united war of Muslims against Israel. He made this call after Hezbollah chief Hasan Nasrullah was killed.

Middle East Eye reports that Khomeini called on Muslims to stand by the Lebanese people. At the same time, he emphasized on supporting Hezbollah to counter Israel's illegal regime. He made this call immediately after confirming the news of the death of the head of the party, Hassan Nasrullah, on behalf of Hezbollah.
Khomeini made the call in a statement published on Khomeini's official website on Saturday. There he also strongly condemned the killing of defenseless civilians in Lebanon.
Iran's supreme religious leader said, "The short-sightedness and stupidity of Israeli leaders have been proven by killing Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah." At this time, he warned that all resistance forces in the Middle East would stand by Hezbollah and fight against Israel.
Meanwhile, Khamenei is said to have moved to a safe area following the news of the Hezbollah chief's death. Also its security has been strengthened. Two Iranian officials confirmed this information to Reuters.
