Jumba Bangla Desk: President of Public Rights Council Nurul Haque Noor said that the country needs a government of national consensus for 2 years to transition from the current situation, who will bring the structural reforms of the state and make the country a humane state.

He said this in the shadow parliament organized on fair environment of education and student politics at FDC of the capital on Saturday (September 28) morning. In the event, the debaters of Manarat International University defeated the debaters of Bangladesh University and won the competition titled 'Hindering the fair environment of student politics education'.

If elections are held within a year, there will not be much change in the existing system, Noor said, six months, this government is an apolitical and revolutionary government. State governance is politics. In the current situation after the revolution, it is not possible to run the state completely with non-political people. Therefore, an inclusive government should be formed with politically experienced people in addition to non-political people. Otherwise, it will be difficult to survive for six months if the distance is created with the political parties.

Commenting that the reign of terror that Chhatra League established in the campus during the fallen government should be suitably punished, the former VP of Daksu said that it is not possible to run the current state with the NGO brand of the government. Political parties and institutions that cooperate with the fascist government, including Awami League and Jatiya Party, should be banned by law for ten years. Chairman of the program Debate for Democracy Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiran said that the chaos created by the student organization of the previous Awami government in the name of student politics in the last 15 years will be a black chapter in history.

Strict legal action should be taken against VCs, Pro VCs, Proctors of various educational institutions as their accomplices for the atrocities that Chhatra League has committed in various educational institutions during the Awami regime.

At this time Hasan Ahmed recommended 10 points to maintain fair environment of education. They are-

1. Taking decisions about student politics in higher education institutions based on the opinions of students.

2. Not making students a tool to implement the agenda of political parties.

3. Electing the student cabinet through individual participation rather than grassroots student organization or party identity.

4. Announcing the roadmap for student cabinet elections in all educational institutions along with various activities of state reform.

5. Formation of a special tribunal with the aim of speeding up the trial of various irregularities including murder, sexual harassment, recruitment, tender trading in educational institutions during the previous regime. To take legal measures against the abettors of the administration involved in various irregularities including killings in educational institutions as required by the current administration.

6. Stopping teacher politics by naming white-red-blue-purple etc. at the university level.

7. Ragging in educational institutions, torture cell, hall occupation, seat occupation, dominance spread, extortion, terrorism should be toughened by the authorities.

8. Ensure coexistence of students of all ideologies in educational institutions.

9. Instead of political considerations in the appointment of teachers, creating opportunities for qualified talents to come into teaching.
