Jumbangla Desk: A person named Saiful Madbar and his followers have been accused of killing a Jubo League worker named Russell Sardar by cutting his hands and legs due to previous enmity in Damudya of Shariatpur.

Russell died on Saturday (September 28) around 4 am while undergoing treatment at the Dhaka Paralympic Hospital. Saiful and his accomplices fled the area after the incident.

According to the police and the relatives of the deceased, the former chairman of Islampur Union Parishad, Deen Mohammad Dulal Matbar, has been in dispute with Russell Sardar of the same area for a long time on various issues including politics. On Friday afternoon, Russell Sardar went to a salon in the broken bridge area of ​​Islampur to cut his hair and beard. At that time, 10 to 12 people, including Saiful Matbar, suddenly attacked Russell Sardar on the orders of former UP Chairman Deen Mohammad Dulal Matbar and cut his limbs. Later the locals took him to Shariatpur Sadar Hospital and the doctor on duty sent him to Dhaka Paralympic Hospital. He died while undergoing treatment at the hospital around 4 pm. The police said that the murder case is being prepared in this incident.

Yasmin Akhter, the sister of the deceased, said, 'My brother used to do business. Apart from that, he has no fault. They were teasing my brother for a long time. We don't know why my brother was killed. We want justice for this.'

Rakib, the brother of the victim, said, "When they repeatedly came to my brother to ask for money, he refused to pay money." After that, he started threatening at various times. They ambushed my brother after Friday prayers at a salon while he was having his hair cut. While sitting on a chair, he was cut and injured. We went there and saw the brother lying in a bloody state. Different parts of his body, head and hands and feet veins were cut. Then we rushed to Shariatpur Hospital. From there the doctor sent to Dhaka. He later died at Dhaka Medical Hospital around 4:00 pm. We want exemplary punishment for those involved in the incident.

In this regard Shariatpur Police Superintendent Nazrul Islam said, 'The murder of a person named Russell has taken place due to the earlier conflict. He died in a hospital in Dhaka. No case yet. But if the case comes to us, we will take the case.
