Sports Desk: The Indian government is sending back a Bangladeshi supporter named Rabiul Islam Ravi alias Tiger Ravi who came to support the Bangladesh team in the Kanpur Test.
He originally came to Chennai on a medical visa. However, without taking any treatment in Chennai, he came to Kanpur to watch the second Test against Bangladesh vs India at the stadium. Authorities have complained about unauthorized brand promotion inside the stadium.
It is known that the Kanpur police are making arrangements to take Ravi into custody and send him to Dhaka via Delhi. Indian immigration authorities can also impose a five-year ban by canceling his visa as punishment.
According to sources, Ravi is currently being handed over to the Delhi Police through the Kanpur Police. The Bangladesh National Cricket Team supporter will be picked up by the Delhi Police on a flight to Dhaka at 11am tomorrow.
It is also known from sources that Bangladeshi supporter Ravi applied for a visa saying that he will receive medical treatment in Kolkata. But after getting the visa, he came to Chennai on September 18. There he supported the Bangladesh team with his own sponsor promoting outside the rules of India. The local administration has also raised questions about his behavior in the gallery. Yesterday, on the first day of the match, this Bangladeshi supporter fell down on the second floor of the gallery near the media stand, complaining of being beaten by the Indian fans. The police sent him to the hospital from there.
The Kanpur police department was shaken by the news of this attack. They started investigating Ravi's reason for coming to India. Kanpur police did not find the truth of the alleged beating of the Bangladeshi supporter after analyzing the CCTV footage installed at the stadium.
In the video footage circulating on social media, Ravi came out of the media gate and suddenly sat down on the road. He fell asleep immediately. When asked to know what happened, police and other volunteers came forward from his incident, and he initially complained that he was beaten by an Indian spectator. - Today's newspaper
