The thief disappeared with the donation box of the mosque

Jumbangla Desk: A complaint has been lodged with the police station against two persons suspected to be involved in the theft of goods including donation boxes of a mosque in Sunamganj district of Sylhet.

A person named Maram Ali of Mayerkul village filed this complaint at Chatak police station on Saturday.

It has been reported that on the night of September 21, a violent robbery took place in Manikganj (Mayerkul) Bazar Jame Mosque of Dakshin Khurma Union. The thief broke the lock of the mosque and stole two solar batteries and a donation box containing money. The locals also held a meeting about the incident of theft in the mosque. Iqbal Hossain and Abul Hossain were accused of being involved in the theft. In view of this, a written complaint was given to the police station against these two.
