3 accidents in one night at the same place in Karnaphuli tunnel

Jumbangla Desk: Three consecutive accidents took place in one night at the same place inside Chittagong's Karnaphuli tunnel. These accidents happened last Friday at 7 pm, 7 pm and 10 pm. However, no one was injured in these incidents.

Tunnel

Belayet Hossain, the toll manager of the tunnel, said that an ice-carrying truck was going from the Anwara end to the Patenga end at around 7 pm on Friday. At that time, the wheel burst and the truck overturned. The ice falls. Later, the truck was removed but there was another accident at 8 pm due to ice water. A private car lost control and hit the wall of the tunnel. The accident took place at the same place around 10 pm. Another privateer lost control and hit the tunnel wall damaging the decoration board.

He also said that small and big accidents often occur in tunnels. Three happened on Friday night as well. However, there was no major damage in these accidents.
