Zoom-Bangla Desk: Two school students died due to lightning in Sherpur of Bogra. Seven people were injured in this incident.

The incident took place on Saturday (October 5) afternoon at Joyla Aladi field of Sughat Union of the upazila.

The two deceased are Zahidul Islam (14) son of Molla Bux of Jayla Aladi village of Sherpur upazila and Morchalin (13) son of Abu Taleb of Chak Khanpur village. Zahidul Islam is a 8th grade student of Kalyani High School and 7th grade student of Morchalin Khanupar High School. The injured are Russell (10), Merazul (11), Rana (18), Rustom (12), Sihab (14), Rakib (10) and Kamrul (10) of Jayla Aladi village.
Local people said that several teenagers were playing football in the afternoon in Jayala Aladi field. At that time, two people named Zahidul Islam and Morchalin were seriously injured when lightning struck with rain. They were immediately taken to the Upazila Health Complex where the doctor declared them dead.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sherpur Police Station Shafiqul Islam said that the body will be handed over to the family after the legal process.
