As a result, the Israeli army began to bury various emergency facilities in Gaza with the ground. The Israeli devastation has become so terrible that in just four months of the war, the Palestinians have lost about 18.5 billion or 1,850 million dollars worth of infrastructure. Since the start of the war, 66 percent of Gaza's homes have been completely destroyed, according to the United Nations. According to a report by Gaza's official media office, 200 government buildings, 122 schools and universities were destroyed by Israeli attacks until August.

In a statement on Saturday, Gaza's Ministry of Religious Affairs said that 814 of Gaza's 1,245 mosques were razed to the ground due to heavy bombardment by the Israeli army. Another 148 were severely damaged. Besides the mosque, three churches were also destroyed, the statement said. In addition, 19 out of 60 cemeteries were deliberately targeted. The ministry also said that the estimated financial cost of damage to these religious properties is 350 million dollars.

Famine and epidemic situation

All schools in Gaza have been closed since the Hamas attack in October last year, the Palestinian Ministry of Education said. 90 percent of schools were completely destroyed or damaged. Currently, the United Nations Palestine Relief Agency (UNRWA) has converted some intact school buildings into shelters for the displaced. According to the ministry, 625,000 children have already been deprived of education.
