Google is adding new summary cards to Gmail's Android and iOS apps. With the newly designed summary card, users can more easily summarize the myriad of information in their inbox.

Summary cards feature in Gmail has been around for a long time to give a brief and easy overview of different emails. With this summary card, users can get a brief overview of important information like orders, package tracking or flights. Google is now working on updating Gmail's summary cards by category to make the process of displaying information easier and better. The new card will contain updated information on important information. The most important information will be written in capital letters.

The new design summary card will feature a picture of what was purchased in the shopping e-mail, package tracking details, a progress bar, track packages to get direct information, and a view order option to view the seller's website. Any event email summary card will include the event name, date, location and a link to Google Calendar. Even seats, invite buttons as well as tickets and directions to the event will be displayed.

The new summary card design will display the bill amount, minimum bill payment amount, the amount that can be used now in various e-mails for various bills including credit cards. Apart from this, Google Tasks will also have a button to set as a reminder when paying bills. A graphic will appear on the summary card of the travel e-mail. Where flight time, airport, confirmation number can be seen. Apart from this there will be a button for booking and check in. The hotel booking tab will have check in and check out times.
Apart from this, a new section named Happening Soon will appear in Gmail inbox. From where the information of any upcoming events or activities can be seen. Now the redesigned summary card for shopping information only is being exposed to the Android and iOS apps. Events, card billing and travel e-mail information will appear on the new summary card next month, along with the Happening Soon section.
