In that factory, early last week, the workers protested with various demands, including increasing the attendance bonus. At that time, the factory authorities assured to accept the demands of the workers, but later it was not implemented. Due to which the workers protested in front of the factory on Monday afternoon. At one stage, the agitated workers blockaded the Chandra-Navinagar road. Traffic on that road was stopped from 1 pm. As a result, long traffic jams are created from Jirani Bazar area in both directions. Passengers of hundreds of vehicles suffered greatly.

Hafizul Islam, a factory worker, said that last week the authorities announced to accept the demand but have not implemented it till now. So this time until their owner comes to the factory and announces to accept the demand, the movement will continue.
