Farida Akhtar, adviser to the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, said Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani made Tangail known to the whole world. Leaders like Maulana Bhasani are in Tangail, it is the pride of whole Bangladesh. He created the history of Bangladesh. Without Maulana Bhasani, this Bangladesh would not have been born. He was an oppressed public leader. He was the first to protest against this farakka.

Mentioning why the next generation will not know him, he said, the only way to know it is through textbooks. Therefore, he assured to take necessary steps to include Maulana Bhasani's history in textbooks. If he has to stand in a human chain for this, then he must stand in a human chain.

Farida Akhtar said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the exchange meeting with the members of the Tangail District Puja Celebration Committee on Monday afternoon.

Regarding the national fish hilsa, he said, Bangladesh is an important place for hilsa fish. Hilsa comes from our Padma Meghna. Coast Guard, BGB and other law enforcement agencies are in a strong position to stop hilsa smuggling from Bangladesh.

About the upcoming Durga Puja, Farida Akhtar said, this year's puja will be the puja of new Bangladesh. Everyone will enjoy the puja by creating a social environment. I am satisfied with the preparations for the Puja celebration of Tangail. On the 14th, I can announce that the Puja of Tangail has been the most beautiful.
