Haluaghat and Dhobaura in Mymensingh and Jhenaigati and Nalitabari upazilas in Sherpur have been inundated by the floods. As a result, the houses and crops of the people bordering the border have been rendered helpless. In this situation, about 250 BGB members of 9 BOPs under the Mymensingh Battalion of BGB are continuing the rescue operation of people trapped in water. Besides, BGB has continued to supply essential food, clean water and dry relief materials to them.

It is said that BGB members have so far rescued 850 people trapped in water and shifted them to higher and safer places near BOP. Also, cattle and other belongings of local people have been shifted to safe places. BGB distributed dry food (muri, chira, gur and banruti, pure water) and cooked food to 100 people stranded in water on Saturday. BGB distributed dry food to 200 people and cooked food to 450 people on Sunday.
Besides, on Sunday afternoon, members of anti-discrimination student movement handed over 300 packets of dry food to BGB. In this context, along with the relief distribution of anti-discrimination student movement, BGB also distributed cooked food to 350 people.
