Jumbangla Desk: Jatiya Party (Japa) Chairman GM Quader, who has been nicknamed the 'domesticated opposition party' for speaking in the tone of Awami League on almost all issues, has once again claimed that his party had contributed to the students' uprising. Responding to calling Japa a friend of fascism, he said that students' lives should not be taken as spoils of success.
Sheikh Hasina's opposition leader GM Quader said these things in an exchange meeting with the editors of the party's central committee at the Banani office on Monday.
GM Quader termed Sheikh Hasina as a dictator who fled the country during the student uprising on August 5, and said that this achievement belongs only to the students. Jatiya Party leaders also donated blood. Don't take the success that life gives students as spoils. This blood-soaked success is not shared.
The interim government recently invited the parties that participated in the coup to dialogue, but Awami League's partner Zapa in the last four elections was not invited. GM Quader alleged that a circle is trying to label the Jatiya Party as a party against the student movement. Jatiya Party leaders and activists are being accused in the murder case of the movement.
As before, GM Quader said that he was active in speaking inside and outside the Parliament on behalf of the students. He asked the students to protest from Shaheed Minar. He went to the house of Shaheed Abu Saeed as the first politician. The joint meeting of the party decided to give full support to the movement.
Presidium member Mir Abdus Sabur Asud, Rezaul Islam Bhuiyan and central leaders were present in the meeting chaired by JPA Secretary General Mujibul Haque Chunnu.
