Four Palestinian journalists have been nominated for the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize for their courageous journalism in a war-torn state of Israeli occupation. This information is known from a report of the Express Tribune on Wednesday (August 28).

The four Palestinian journalists published in the report are photographer Motaz Azaiza, TV journalist Hind Khoudary, journalist and rights activist Bishas Ouda and veteran journalist Wael Al-Dahdouh.

Israeli forces have already killed many journalists in Gaza. They alleged that the journalists were affiliated with Hamas or the armed wing of Islamic Jihad.

The New York-based organization 'International Committee to Protect Journalists' has been documenting the killing of journalists around the world since 1992. According to the organization, the war in Gaza has been the bloodiest for journalists since 1992.

The Committee to Protect Journalists also said that at least 113 journalists and media workers have been killed since the start of the war between Hamas and Israel on October 7 last year.

It is known that 285 nominations for this year's Nobel Peace Prize have been submitted to the Norwegian Nobel Committee. Among them 196 individuals and 89 organizations.
