Palestine has become a devastation due to Israeli attacks in the last one year. Hamas has suffered a lot in the war by supporting Palestine. However, despite all this, the organization does not want to retreat. They want to rise from the ruins like a phoenix bird.

Hamas will rise from the ashes to become a phoenix after suffering losses in the last year of war. At the same time, recruiting new fighters and making weapons will continue. This was announced by the exiled leader of Hamas, Khaled Meshaal.

"Palestinian history is made by cycles," Meshal said in an interview with Reuters. We are going through those phases now. Where we are being martyred and we are losing some of our military capability, but then the Palestinian spirit will rise again like a phoenix.'

Meshal survived an Israeli assassination attempt in 1997. At that time he was injected with poison. He was nevertheless the overall leader of Hamas from 1996-2017. According to him, Hamas is still capable of carrying out ambushes against Israeli forces.

"We've lost some of our ammunition and weapons, but Hamas is still recruiting youth and making a significant portion of its ammunition and weapons," Meshaal said.

"As long as Israel's occupation exists, the region will remain a ticking time bomb," Meshaal said, saying he saw no possibility of peace while Netanyahu's government was in power.
