However, if Riyadh has not yet received any response in this regard, there are rumors that an official announcement may come in the press conference after or before the second match of the series on Tuesday.


Riyad made his T20 debut against Kenya in 2007. In the last 17 years, he played 139 matches and took 2,295 runs and 40 wickets. His average is 23.48 with a strike rate of 117.74. Riyad was the captain in 20 of the 43 T20 matches. Bangladesh played T20 World Cup in UAE under his leadership in 2021.

 


Note: Earlier, it has been said about Riyad's retirement in different media of the country citing BCB. However, BCB said they were not informed about such a decision by Riyadh.
