Matthew Dominique captioned the photo posted on micro-blogging site X, “An hour today we flew over Hurricane Milton again. It was not so streamlined today as it was yesterday. But today the scope of the storm seems bigger.”
Earlier this NASA astronaut released a timelapse video of the powerful hurricane. The vortex of Hurricane Milton was clearly visible through the spacecraft window.
Meanwhile, 500,000 homes in the Tampa and Sarasota metro areas of Florida, USA, are at risk of being damaged by the flood caused by Hurricane Milton, according to analysis company CoreLogic.

The agency also said it would cost $123 billion to rebuild homes if they were damaged. In its analysis on Wednesday (October 9), the agency also said Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall as a Category-3 hurricane.
However, if it hits the coast as a category-4, it may affect 7 lakh houses. Besides, floods may occur in different places.
According to the US press CNN, Milton is going to be one of the 'costliest' hurricanes in the history of the United States. That could result in more than $100 billion in infrastructure damage.
Big news for Bikash customers
The US National Hurricane Center (NHC) fears that Milton will hit the US state of Florida on Wednesday night local time as an "extremely dangerous hurricane". The hurricane could make landfall near the city of Tampa. The greater metropolitan area of this city has a population of over 3 million.
