International Desk: India has banned Hizb ut Tahrir. The Ministry of Home Affairs announced this in a notification on Thursday (October 10). It is said that Hizb ut Tahrir wants to establish a global Islamic state and caliphate including India through Jihad and terrorist activities.

The notification also said that Hizb ut Tahri is involved in the spread of extremism. They are simply engaged in inciting young people to join terrorist organizations like IS. Also they are collecting funds for terrorist activities.

Later, Union Home Minister Amit Shah's office X (formerly Twitter) said in a post that following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's zero-tolerance policy on terrorism, the Home Ministry today declared Hizb ut Tahrir a terrorist organization.
