According to the report of Bangladesh Bank, on October 9, the amount of gross (total) reserves including various funds in foreign currency was two thousand 497 million 44 million dollars.

And according to the calculations of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the amount of net reserves is one thousand 982 million 67 million 20 thousand dollars (BPM-6). However, expendable reserves are below $15 billion.


Last September 25, the amount of net reserves was 1 thousand 956 crore 75 lakh 50 thousand dollars (BPM-6). And the amount of gross reserve was 2 thousand 467 crore 84 lakh 80 thousand dollars.

After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government, expatriate income started increasing again from August. This reduces the reserve requirement of commercial banks; The demand is met from its own sources. At the same time, state-owned commercial banks also have to approach Bangladesh Bank less to buy fuel. As a result, the rapid loss of foreign currency decreases.
