Jumbangla Desk: Recently, a scandal has arisen with a 600-gram fish caught in the Kura river of Golapganj by a young man. At night, this fish was caught in the Kura river of Nagar village of Dhaka South Union of Upazila in Barashi of a young man named Suuruj Ali.

He tried all night but could not lift the fish. The next morning, when the news spread throughout the upazila that a fish weighing 200 kg was caught in Barashi, hundreds of eager people from different parts of the surrounding area flocked to see the fish. Later, when a diver from Vadeshwar managed to retrieve the fish in the afternoon, it was found to be a Gagla fish weighing only 600 grams. Suruj Ali, whose fishing net was caught, said, "I am really ashamed. Thousands of people had to suffer because someone caught a fish weighing 200 kg and spread it all over the upazila. As I have not been able to pick up the fish since yesterday, many people thought that the fish would be very big.
