Entertainment Desk: Jamaluddin Hossain, a popular television and stage actor, is no more. Jamaluddin was hospitalized in Canada for three weeks.

He died at 6pm Canadian time (October 11). He was 81 years old at the time of his death.

Mahmudul Islam Salim, theater director of Swapnalok confirmed this.

The once busy actor of television and stage plays went to visit his son Tashfin Hossain's house in Calgary, Canada from Atlanta, USA. When he suddenly felt sick, his son admitted him to the hospital.

After the examination, the doctors informed about his urine infection. Later it was decided to put him on ventilation if he developed pneumonia. If the condition worsens, life support is taken. The actor never came back from there.

Actor's wife actress Roshan Ara and son Tashfin Hossain were by his side at the time of death.

His son Tashfin Hussain said his funeral will be held at the Akram Juma Jama Masjid in Calgary, Canada after the Zohar prayer, and after the funeral, he will be buried at the Muslim cemetery in Cochrane, which is adjacent to Rocky Mountain.

This dramatist who won the Ekushe Padak was an actor, playwright-director and theater organizer. Another identity in his professional life, he is an engineer.
