On Friday (October 11) at around 3:30 p.m., members of the organized bandit group, dressed in army and RAB uniforms, carried out the robbery in the area adjacent to the embankment of Mohammadpur.

Eyewitnesses said that around 3:30 pm, a group of 15 to 20 people brought four to five Hiis brand cars. More than half of them were wearing army uniforms. The remaining four to five were wearing RAB loincloths and the rest were in civilian clothes. The few who came dressed in army uniforms came in such a way that there was no way of knowing that they were not members of the army. There is no way to doubt the helmet.

Abu Bakr Siddique, the owner of the victim's house, said that around 3:30 pm yesterday, some people dressed in army uniforms came and asked me to open the gate of the house. When I opened the gate of the house, two people came and held my hands and said, you have weapons. Take out the weapons. I then said, I have submitted my weapon to the police station. I have no weapon. They then detained us, searched the entire house and left with cash and jewellery.

The affected residents said that around 3:30 in the night, a group of people entered a house in the area adjacent to the Mohammadpur Embankment, posing as joint forces. Alleging that the owner of the house has weapons, the furniture of the house was vandalized, several cupboards were searched. At the same time, the CCTV cameras and cupboards of the business establishments in the building were vandalized. During this time, cash and gold ornaments were looted.
