Jumbangla Desk: The sale of cut or pieced hilsa in Rajshahi started on Thursday after extensive publicity and hype through various media. However, after a day on Friday, the sale of cut hilsa was stopped. There is anger among the low income people.
Greetings
Buyers say that they could not buy more pieces of hilsa when they went to Sahib Bazar in Rajshahi on Friday. Sellers are not cutting and selling hilsa.
On the other hand, fish sellers say that they are losing money by selling cut hilsa. Again, not enough buyers are available. Because of this, they have been forced to stop selling cut hilsa. Buyers expressed various comments and opinions on social media as the sale of cut hilsa was stopped.
A fish seller named Dabir Hossain said that if the whole hilsa is cut and not sold, then the loss is ours. Rather, if the hilsa is whole, it can be stored in the store for a week or more. If other fish cannot be sold quickly, they rot and suffer. But hilsa does not rot anymore. I started selling in pieces. But there are not enough buyers.
