Spinach items
Wash half a kg of spinach, drain the water and cut into small pieces. Wash half a cup of dal well and drain the water. Heat oil in a pan and fry onion and garlic. Add ½ teaspoon turmeric powder, chili powder to taste, ½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder and salt to taste. Add the washed lentils to the masala. Fry well and add 1 cup of water. When the dal is slightly cooked, cover the pan with spinach. Water will rise from the vegetables. You can add some more water if necessary. Add sliced green chillies two minutes before cooking.
Heat oil for bagar in another pan and fry dry chillies, onion and garlic. When the onion-garlic turns brown, spread it over the spinach and serve.
